Nominations for the leading lawyers 40 and under close on July 4th
Nominations are now open for the 2025 Lexpert Rising Stars Awards, the annual celebration of Canada’s top 40 lawyers 40 and under.
To be considered, nominees must have been born in 1985 or later. Separate nomination forms are required for each nominee, and nominations must be submitted here.
Lexpert will accept submissions until 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time on July 4, 2025.
Each year, Lexpert honours the brightest young lawyers across Canada’s law firms, legal departments, government, and academia. Last year’s awardees were announced and celebrated at the Liberty Grand in Toronto.
“As lawyers approaching 40, you’ve had very few milestones between now and graduation,” Jade Buchanan, a partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, said upon receiving a Rising Star Award last fall.
He added that receiving an award evoked “the same feeling you get when you’re looking out at graduation and seeing all the people who’ve helped you get there, and how happy they are, and how proud they are… it really means a lot.”
Chloe Snider, a partner at Dentons who also took home an award last year, said, “I feel like I really respect all the people who have won this before me, and to be in that group is a real honour.”
Key Media and event partner Dye & Durham will present the 2025 Lexpert Rising Stars Awards at Toronto’s Liberty Grand, with the support of McMillan LLP and Norton Rose Fulbright.
