This year's winners were celebrated on Tuesday evening at Toronto's Liberty Grand
Lexpert has revealed the 2024 winners of the Rising Star Awards, which recognize outstanding lawyers across Canada who are 40 and under.
Announced at the Liberty Grand in Toronto on Tuesday evening, the winners represent the brightest young stars across the country’s law firms, legal departments, and organizations. Over 465 guests registered to celebrate their exceptional contributions thus far to the legal profession.
Veteran journalist, national media personality, and personal finance authority Melissa Leong hosted the gala.

Selecting the winners was no easy task, according to Zohar Levy, a partner at Lundy Levy Eski Baum and one of this year’s judges.
“I was blown away by the quality and national reach of the candidates, and it was incredibly challenging to choose between so many outstanding individuals from such diverse backgrounds,” Levy said. “How do you compare a tax specialist who has built a boutique practice to an in-house lawyer who has championed significant projects for their client?
“For me, it was obvious that all the candidates were excellent lawyers and had delivered when asked to work on high profile, demanding cases and transactions,” Levy added. “Because everyone had such evident expertise, for the winners, it was their community involvement and contributions, including through mentorship and education, that really made them stand out.”
