Six law firms made new announcements
Welcome to this week’s roundup of movements among major law firms, in which we sum up significant hires, promotions, departures, and other announcements.
Pavle Levkovic has joined the firm as a partner and member of its litigation and construction groups. Levkovic specializes in construction arbitration and litigation. His practice spans a wide range of construction disputes, encompassing major infrastructure projects (light rail systems, transit stations, mines and refineries) and landmark high-rise residential and mixed-use developments in Toronto and Ottawa. He advises on delay claims, deficiencies, designer negligence, fee disputes, construction liens and breach of trust actions.
Levkovic’s arbitration experience includes disputes under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC) and ad hoc rules. These cases have involved various project delivery methods, such as P3 and design-build-finance-maintain (DBFM), engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM), and design-build contracts.
Antoine Gariépy joined the firm as a partner in its banking, lending and corporate/commercial practice groups. His legal practice encompasses financing, real estate matters, general corporate law, and the buying and selling of businesses. He has extensive experience working with clients on various real estate development and commercial leasing projects. He has represented banks, private lenders, and borrowers in lending transactions and has prepared a range of corporate and commercial agreements.
