Singleton Reynolds, BLG, Fasken, and Stikeman Elliott made new announcements
Welcome to this week’s roundup of movements among major law firms, in which we sum up significant hires, promotions, departures, and other announcements.
Sharon Vogel and David Edinger have been announced as Singleton Reynolds’ new co-managing partners.
Vogel previously chaired the construction and infrastructure practice group and is on the management committee. She launched the firm’s Toronto office alongside Bruce Reynolds.
In her practice, she has tackled disputes as well as drafted and negotiated contracts in the construction sector.
Commercial litigator Edinger was once chair of Singleton Reynolds’ conflict committee and has been part of the management committee for eight years. He works with the commercial litigation, construction, insurance and workplace law practice groups.

The following 19 lawyers were appointed as Fasken’s new partners effective January 1:
Beginning January 1, Shawn Blundell, Charif El-Khouri, and Myriam Fortin became partners at Stikeman Elliott.
Blundell is part of the firm’s capital markets, M&A, and securities groups. He focuses on complex capital markets transactions, domestic and cross-border M&A, and corporate matters. He has advised on IPOs, MJDS offerings, and investment-grade note offerings; moreover, he has worked with clients in the technology, energy, logistics, and financial services sectors.
El-Khouri practices with the employment and labour group. He has advised unionized and non-unionized companies on all aspects of employment law, such as compensation structures, privacy , and workplace policies. A seasoned litigator, he has tackled disputes related to wrongful termination, human rights, and non-compete agreements. Moreover, he has conducted internal investigations into misconduct and harassment. El-Khouri has also advised on the employment law aspects of M&A transactions.
Fortin heads up the Montréal office’s environment group. Her practice encompasses regulatory and contractual environmental matters, including impact assessments, climate change considerations, and site remediation. She has worked on matters across the mining, energy, and real estate sectors, and she co-chairs the Montréal office’s green committee.
