Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP

Blakes has welcomed Fiona Legere as a partner and leader of the firm’s IP litigation practice. Based in the Toronto office, Legere will advise clients on intellectual property (IP) matters, including high-stakes disputes at trial and appellate levels.

Harbor Global

Legal service provider Harbor has welcomed Zena Applebaum as senior vice president of market development. Applebaum has over two decades of expertise in proposition strategy, law practice management, competitive intelligence, and product marketing. She comes to Harbor from Thomson Reuters, where she was vice president of product marketing. In this role, she directed go-to-market strategies, including the launch of generative AI features in Westlaw and Practical Law, along with other legal tech solutions.

The firm has welcomed Michael Sabusco as a partner in its corporate group. Sabusco specializes in corporate and securities law and mergers and acquisitions. He has advised public and private corporations and strategic investors. He has experience in private and public offerings, strategic financings, corporate and reverse takeovers, and other corporate restructuring transactions. He has also counselled clients across various industries, including mining and natural resources, technology, cannabis, financial services, logistics and transportation, real estate, retail, marketing, food and beverage, and health and wellness sectors.
