The awards celebrate outstanding people, organizations, and achievements in the legal industry
There are just over two weeks to submit nominations for the Canadian Law Awards – Lexpert and Canadian Lawyer’s annual recognition of excellence across the legal industry’s individuals, organizations, and achievements.
Nominations are open until 11:59 pm EST on January 31, 2025, and should be submitted here. Submissions must directly and concisely address the criteria for the applicable award category.

The CLA honours exceptional law firms, in-house departments, deals, cases, initiatives, and individuals across 23 categories.
After nominations close, the Canadian Law Awards team will draw on industry expertise to shortlist Excellence Awardees in each category. This shortlist will be announced in March, and a shortlist of notable deals will be announced separately in April.
The Excellence Awardees will then be reviewed by an independent panel of judges, who will score and select winners for each category.
Winners will be celebrated at the Canadian Law Awards on May 7, 2025, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
