Lawyer, writer, PhD student, podcast host
After leaving private practice in 2012, Hadiya Roderique has focused on many other pursuits. Her article Black on Bay Street in the Globe and Mail caused waves in the legal profession. In addition to pursuing her PhD in organizational behaviour and human resources management and instructing at the Rotman School of Management, Roderique has completed two journalism fellowships, one at The Walrus and the other at the National Post. She is also a co-host of the Canadaland Commons podcast, where she discusses contemporary Canadian political issues. Roderique is vice president and chairwoman of the competition committee for Ultimate Canada, the governing body for Canadian Ultimate frisbee.
