CASEpeer review
CASEpeer is a legal management software for personal injury law firms

When the caseload keeps building up or when legal matters become more complex, it’s important to always be on top to get those cases to success. This equally applies to personal injury cases, whose issues and resolutions may drag on for a while. One thing that you and your firm can do to ease your practice management is to get the help of a legal management software such as CASEpeer.

What is CASEpeer?

CASEpeer is a case management software or practice management solution (PMS) that is made specifically for personal injury law firms. It helps lawyers and firms streamline their operations and increase their productivity through the different features it offers. It’s also a cloud-based software, making it easy for users to access and store important documents.

With CASEpeer, every step in assisting clients is simplified through automation. From client intakes, until the matter is decided or resolved, CASEpeer has the right tools that lawyers and firms can use. It also helps users deal with clients and evaluate the performance of their peers within the firm.

How does CASEpeer work?

CASEpeer has these main features to help your personal injury firm with its caseload:

  • Case management: helps with the handling of virtual documents, weekly and monthly tasks of lawyers, and the tracking of case developments
  • Client experience: tools that improve the way clients and lawyers communicate with each other, from client intakes until a case is closed
  • Practice management: assists in the accounting with the firm’s expenses and clients’ trusts, including the automation of trivial tasks
  • Firm reporting: supports firms in tracking their specific KPIs, such as in the generation of the KPI-based reports

Here’s a sneak peek into what CASEpeer has to offer:

Case management

From when a client comes to you, to when the case is filed in court (or settled), CASEpeer can help you track every personal injury case you’re handling through these features:

  • using the software’s summary screen, you can monitor and evaluate each case in just one glance
  • your case files will be organized to help you and your team track all activities and communications with your clients
  • providing you a tasks manager to help your team be updated on each case, along with the tasks along the way

Negotiation tracker and settlement reports

CASEpeer offers a built-in negotiation tracker that will help you determine the value of each future case. You can also see much like a settlement report through the same software. Briefly, this feature of CASEpeer can help your firm:

  • identify high value cases quickly
  • improve negotiations with all handled cases
  • identify reductions in lien negotiations
  • track demands and offers for negotiations
  • evaluate metrics of insurance companies
  • monitor multiple client trusts all at the same time

Digital task management

Part of CASEpeer is a digital task manager that integrates all workloads of multiple users into one dashboard. Each task is properly assigned to a particular person and is labelled according to status and update (e.g., “treating” or “pending demand”). The tasks are also specified according to priority, i.e. urgent or regular.

Reminder notifications may also be set according to the data in this digital task manager. If one task is completed, a notification may also be sent to the user’s team.

Security of case management and client data

Another concern of most users — which is also addressed through CASEpeer — is the security of the program. The software uses industry-standard security, much like the other secure web-based SaaS software solutions. You are assured that there are security measures put in place, such as:

  • backup procedures (e.g., rolling backups throughout the day) for both data and documents
  • regular updates and feature releases, ensuring that the software is updated on the most recent security standards
  • protection of all client information with CASEpeer being hosted through Amazon Web Services
  • server redundancy will ensure that another server will take over when one server goes down
  • access to the software may be restricted by IP address, or giving specific teammates varying permission to access CASEpeer from anywhere

Practice management

Managing your firm’s operation smoothly and effortlessly is the CASEpeer’s main goal, and its practice management tools are here to help you with that. At the center of all these is the automation of redundant and time-consuming tasks, such as:

  • syncing litigation deadlines to the calendar
  • document and letters creation, using templates
  • statute notifications and notes creation
  • task workflows and triggers based on case status, age, or client information

Expenses tracking

When it comes to your case costs and client trust activity, these can be virtually tracked using CASEpeer. With its built-in cost management, time logging, and client trust tracking tool, you can:

  • track out-of-pocket case expenses for future reference
  • simplify check requests and cost approvals
  • check trust balances, including disbursements

Client experience

CASEpeer can help you communicate with your clients during case building or to update them on their case. Within the system is a client portal where your clients can receive messages from you and your team. Here, you can choose who has access to the client portal, and flag priority cases. There’s also an in-app text messaging and email tool where you can send and receive texts from your clients.

When any of the legal documents are now ready, you can use the system’s e-signature tools both for your team’s and your client’s end.

Client intake

Having a clear intake process not only makes it easier for you and your team, but also for your clients. With CASEpeer’s client intake feature especially made for personal injury firms, you can:

  • choose only the vital information (e.g., accident type, referral source) that you need for each lead
  • simplify the collection of information through intake forms and injury checklists
  • automatically link and share incident details among different but connected personal injury cases
  • evaluate high-value leads, so that you can prioritize follow-ups and tasks for these leads
  • easily transition leads to retained cases through automated processes

Firm reporting

Evaluating the performance and productivity of your firm is vital in making important decisions moving forward. For this, CASEpeer has the feature to help your assessments through objective reports using the data it also has, such as:

  • case status
  • financial standing
  • tasks completed
  • turnaround time
  • conversion and retention rates

CASEpeer can also guide you in identifying performance issues and monitoring employee goals.
