Legal platform welcomes appointees with medical law, tax, and international relations expertise
The Canadian Legal Information Institute (CanLII) has appointed three new members to its board of directors: Steeves Bujold, Christena McIsaac, and Randolph Mank. These appointments bring diverse expertise to the organization, including medical law, tax, and international relations.
Steeves Bujold is a partner at McCarthy Tétrault in Montreal and the firm’s litigation group leader for the Quebec region. His focus includes health law, medical and pharmaceutical liability, and professional law. Bujold has appeared before various courts and tribunals, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He served as President of the Canadian Bar Association from 2022-2023. He was recognized for his contributions to the legal profession with the distinction of Advocatus Emeritus (Ad. E.) by the Quebec Bar and as one of Canadian Lawyers Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in 2024. Bujold also chairs the Board of Lexum Inc., CanLII’s technology partner.
Christena McIsaac is a partner at Stewart McKelvey in Halifax, specializing in tax law. She advises clients on various tax matters, including corporate, personal, and excise tax issues and has a background in accounting.
Randolph Mank is a former Canadian ambassador with over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He has served as Canada’s High Commissioner to Malaysia and Pakistan and as Ambassador to Indonesia. Mank also held senior positions in the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
The announcement follows the appointment of Adam Dodek as Chair of the CanLII Board of Directors.
