Bennett Jones, Miller Thomson act in three or more commercial list suits this week

The week’s most notable commercial suit was the $50-million case Fakih et al v AHM Investments Corporation et al. Sam Presvelos, civil litigation lawyer at Presvelos Law LLP, advised M. Fakih and three other plaintiffs. He also acted for Paramount Franchise Group Inc. and one other defendant to the counterclaim. AHM Investments Corporation and four other defendants appeared to be unrepresented.
The next most notable commercial suit was the $25-million case Baxter v Bolibruck et al. Lenczner Slaght associate Lidiya Yermakova advised plaintiff C. Baxter. G. Bolibruck and four other respondents appeared to be unrepresented.
A third notable commercial suit was the $10-million case Snook v Royal Stone Interlocking Concrete Ltd. et al. Matthew Valitutti acted for plaintiff M. Snook. Rob Moubarak, founding partner and commercial and construction litigator at Sutherland Law, advised Royal Stone Interlocking Concrete Ltd. and 12 other defendants.
A fourth notable commercial suit was the $9,278,602.85 case Chriscwe Holdings Inc. v Oasis Global Inc. et al. Catherine Francis, partner in the litigation and bankruptcy and insolvency groups of Minden Gross LLP, acted for plaintiff Chriscwe Holdings Inc.
