Pobjoy was one of Canadian Lawyer's top 25 most influential lawyers in 2021
Think Research Corporation, a company that delivers knowledge-based digital healthcare software solutions, has appointed Elliot Pobjoy as senior vice president of clinical content. In this role he will lead the company’s healthcare education and clinical support tools division.
Pobjoy previously spent three years as War Child Canada’s chief strategy officer and general counsel, helping to lead the organization’s global operations to safeguard the rights of children, women and families impacted by war. He was recognized as one of Canadian Lawyer’s top 25 most influential lawyers for 2021.
Prior to joining War Child, Pobjoy worked as a lawyer at Goodmans LLP, where he offered legal advice and representation to clients in the private, not-for-profit and public sectors regarding business, regulatory, public policy, development, environmental and administrative law matters.
For Ontario’s government, Pobjoy has served as an executive advisor to the health minister and as chief of staff and executive director to the children and youth services minister. For Ontario’s citizenship and immigration minister, Pobjoy has been executive director, acting chief of staff and senior policy advisor.
Pobjoy has also acted as a policy analyst for Public Safety Canada and for Global Affairs Canada. He earned his JD from the University of Toronto.
Think Research Corporation also announced the appointment of Patrick Craib as vice president of integrations. Craib, who has over a decade of experience with executing large-scale business transformations, has served as chief operating officer of Sciteline, a clinical research software company, and in increasingly senior roles at Scotiabank and Deloitte.
Sachin Aggarwal, Think’s chief executive officer, welcomed Pobjoy and Craib in a news release from the company.
“Their varied experiences and leadership skills will further position the Company for strategic growth both domestically and abroad and help expand the scope of Think’s reach,” Aggarwal said in the news release. “We continue to make progress on our cost transformation initiatives which includes continuously assessing and right sizing our management team.”
Think expressed gratitude to Riyaz Lalani, the company’s chief operating officer who is departing and transitioning his duties effective Sept. 30, for his leadership during his tenure and wished him well on his endeavors in the future.
In the news release, Think announced changes to its management team, with a view to supporting the company’s strategic plans for growth. Think said that it has conducted a strategic review, has streamlined its management layers by reducing five management positions and has worked to attain material cost reductions.
