From AI integration to expanded financial tools, 'DivorceMate sets the standard in Canada' says Faith Feldman

Kicking off 2025 with intention, DivorceMate Software rolled out a host of innovative new features designed to enhance efficiency and improve workflow. From a Mediation Report to an AI-powered legal assistant, the company is responding directly to user feedback and expanding its offerings to better serve lawyers, mediators, and other family law professionals.
“We're listening to our clients’ feedback. We're evolving, developing, and staying on the cutting edge,” says Faith Feldman, Legal Content and Marketing Manager at DivorceMate. “Our goal is to provide the most efficient and user-friendly software possible, saving our clients time and money while maintaining accuracy and reliability.”
One of the standout new features in Ontario is the Mediation Report, a first-of-its-kind tool designed to assist family mediators. Structured like DivorceMate’s Agreements, the Mediation Report offers an intuitive and familiar workflow. Mediators can select clauses from predefined categories to quickly generate a customized report tailored to the parties' negotiations.
The Report, drafted by Christine Montgomery, VP Family Law at DivorceMate, was created in collaboration with the Ontario Association of Family Mediators (OAFM), “ensuring it meets industry best practices” Feldman notes.
“With more family matters being decided out of court and in mediation, we are excited to provide this Report for mediators,” she adds. “It’s particularly valuable for mediators who are just starting out and may not have mentors readily available for guidance.”
Another significant development is the Comparative Net Family Property Statement in Alberta. This tool, which has been widely used in Ontario for years, streamlines financial analysis by providing a side-by-side comparison of both parties' net family property.
“It allows lawyers to compare assets and liabilities in a single, well-organized document, making financial negotiations more transparent and efficient,” says Feldman. “Given its popularity in Ontario, we’re thrilled to now offer it in Alberta as well.”
DivorceMate also launched its first-ever AI integration with LawY, an AI platform designed to support legal professionals through research and drafting. What sets LawY apart is the ability of users to verify AI-generated research with a human lawyer in your jurisdiction. Users can submit their AI-assisted legal research for free verification, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
“LawY is a unique blend of AI and human expertise,” Feldman notes, adding that it’s included in a DivorceMate subscription.
These advancements align with DivorceMate’s ongoing commitment to simplifying complex legal calculations and streamlining document preparation for family law professionals.
In another major step forward, DivorceMate’s Forms, Agreements, and Calculations are now available in the newly launched LEAP Family Law. LEAP Family Law streamlines processes for legal professionals by offering a centralized system for document generation, client management, support calculations and more.
“This partnership enhances accessibility and workflow efficiency for our users,” says Feldman. "Family law practitioners using LEAP Family Law can now simultaneously access DivorceMate and their practice management software."
Are you using the new DivorceMate Cloud? The time to upgrade is now
All new features, developments and integrations are exclusive to the new DivorceMate Cloud platform, and Feldman encourages legacy users to make the switch.
“To access our latest innovations, now is the time to transition to DivorceMate Cloud,” she says.
It’s also an opportune time to upgrade to the latest version because DivorceMate is hosting a free Lunch and Learn webinar on Feb. 26 focusing on practical tips in the new platform.
“We want to ensure our users are getting the most out of our software,” says Feldman. “And this webinar is a great opportunity to learn new efficiencies, ask questions, and engage directly with our team.”
DivorceMate’s latest developments reflect its unwavering commitment to excellence in the family law space via cutting-edge solutions tailored to users’ evolving needs. For legal professionals seeking to streamline their workflow and leverage the latest in legal tech, DivorceMate remains an essential tool. And with more advancements on the horizon, the company shows no signs of slowing down, continuing to set the standard for family law software in Canada.
“At DivorceMate, we are committed to our users and to providing the best customer service possible,” Feldman emphasizes. “By continually innovating and enhancing our software, we aim to make family law practice more efficient and accessible.”
