Dentons and Torys appear in $2.5-million commercial case

Cassels, Osler, Bennett Jones, BLG, Chaitons, Cozen O'Connor, Morse Shannon, Thornton Grout Finnigan, and Fogler, Rubinoff made appearances in multiple commercial list matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice this past week.

The week’s most notable commercial suit was the $2.5-million case 2356802 Ontario Corp. v 285 Spadina SPV Inc. et al. Nicolas Canizares, lawyer, represented applicant 2356802 Ontario Corp. His practice areas include banking and finance, restructuring and insolvency, and technology.

Torys LLP partner Arlen Sternberg acted for respondent Rogers Communications Inc. He focuses on business litigation. 285 Spadina SPV Inc. and one other respondent appeared to be unrepresented.
