Stefan Fink will help the firm provide an integrated approach to the real estate needs of clients
Eversheds Sutherland has announced the strategic hire of Stefan Fink as a partner in its German real estate practice. Fink, who joins the firm from ADVANT Beiten Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft, will be based in the firm’s Munich office.
Fink has built an international client portfolio during his career focused on real estate matters for leading corporates, with sectors including investment and asset management, technology and consumer brands with a range of real estate requirements in Germany.
The demand from clients for a greater focus on ESG matters, and changing work patterns in a post-pandemic environment, have driven an increase in demand for real estate advice in areas including green buildings, smart buildings, improvements in in-office technology to support hybrid working. The addition of Fink to the team will support this growing need.
“We are delighted that such an experienced and senior real estate partner has chosen to join our team,” said Alexander Niethammer, managing partner at Eversheds Sutherland Germany. “Stefan Fink brings with him a strong portfolio of international clients, who each have complex real estate needs. His skills and commercial outlook will be of huge benefit to our international, cross-border real estate practice. As a very ambitious law practice in Germany, we are committed to hiring the right candidates to support our clients’ growth strategies, and Stefan’s addition is an important step in supporting this approach.”
Fink was admitted to the German Bar in 2000. He worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for five years before becoming a partner in a major US law firm. He joined ADVANT Beiten in 2011.
“The opportunity to provide my clients with access to full-service legal advice was a key part of my decision to join Eversheds Sutherland,” said Fink. “Increasingly, clients require a more integrated approach to their real estate needs and to be able to access the firm’s focus on client technology and its innovative platform will be of huge benefit to them.”
