Hong Kong litigator Antony Sassi has been announced as the new global managing partner of international firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain for a four-year term, replacing James Miller.

Sassi was appointed the firm’s Asia managing partner in 2019 and is part of the partnership executive.

“It's a privilege to take on this role. RPC is a firm with an exceptional culture, our unique blend of inclusivity and ambition creates an environment where our people can thrive and achieve their best. I'm grateful for the platform that I've been given, James’ accomplishments over the past few years have been impressive. I’m genuinely excited to progress this next chapter as we continue to grow, building a robust and global firm,” Sassi said in a statement.

With Sassi at the helm, the Asia practice is set to record 110 percent growth from fiscal year 2020 to fiscal year 2025.

“With the best part of another four months in the role, I don't intend to take my foot off the accelerator now. I look forward to handing the reins to someone of Antony's calibre, knowing the firm is in the best possible hands to achieve its undoubted potential,” Miller said.

Miller finishes up two terms as global managing partner at the end of April. Since he stepped into the role in 2017, he led the firm to a 74 percent boost in revenue – from £98.9 million in 2017 to £172.2 million in 2024 – and expanded the partnership from 79 to 136.

“It has been and remains an honour to serve RPC as Global Managing Partner. I am immensely proud of what we collectively continue to achieve thanks to the energy, dedication, teamwork, and phenomenal expertise of our colleagues,” he said.

Sassi officially begins his term as global managing partner on May 1, 2025. He will oversee the firm’s offices in London, Bristol, Hong Kong and Singapore. In Sassi’s stead, Charles Allen and Navin Joseph Lobo will continue to head up the Hong Kong and Singapore offices.
