DLA Piper strengthens employment practice with hire of Hans-Peter Löw

DLA Piper will strengthen its Frankfurt office with the appointment of Hans-Peter Löw as senior counsel, effective, May 1st, 2022. He joins from Allen & Overy, where he was a partner since 2011 and led their German employment practice for several years. Prior to joining Allen & Overy, Löw also spent 15 years as a partner at another international law firm.

For more than 20 years, Löw's focus has been on providing employment law advice to companies in the financial industry – particularly in connection with executive remuneration, bonuses, incentive plans and employee participation programmes, along with related litigation.

Löw’s work covers the strategic planning of structural measures and the development of staff solutions.

"With Dr Hans-Peter Löw, we are gaining a renowned expert in the area of employment law who, with his many years of experience, will perfectly complement our highly regarded employment law team both nationally and internationally,” said Benjamin Parameswaran, managing partner of DLA Piper in Germany.

“At the same time, he will be a key link in the further expansion of our team at the Frankfurt office to provide employment law advice to clients from the banking and financial services sector. We warmly welcome Dr Hans-Peter Löw to DLA Piper."

Löw added: "I am very pleased to become part of DLA Piper's outstanding team and to be able to contribute my many years of expertise in employment law, particularly in the banking and financial services sector. Especially the broad international positioning in the financial services sector at DLA Piper will add significant value to my advisory approach. Together we will further establish the excellent reputation of the employment law practice especially in the area of financial services".
