Ryan Huggett promoted to chief legal officer of Info-Tech Research Group

Info-Tech Research Group – a global IT research and advisory firm based in London, Ontario – has appointed Ryan Huggett as its new chief legal officer.

Huggett joined Info-Tech Research Group in 2016. He previously served as general counsel to the company and all its divisions. In this role, he offered strategic and practical legal advice regarding all areas of the business. He assisted Info-Tech Research Group in striving toward its objectives.

Huggett has close ties to internal stakeholders, experience managing relationships from the working level to the most senior executive level, and deep knowledge of the company’s business operations, said a news release by Info-Tech Research Group.

Before his employment with Info-Tech, Huggett gained experience in law firm and in-house counsel positions and in leadership roles within the areas of consulting, policy development, and financial regulation, said Info-Tech Research Group’s news release.

Specifically, Huggett has been principal of Promontory Financial Group Canada, ULC (2014–15); manager, complex resolutions at Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (2012–14); a senior project leader at Canada’s finance department (2010–12); legal counsel at the Canadian Payments Association (2007–10); and associate lawyer at Harrison Pensa LLP (2003–07), according to his LinkedIn page.

Huggett joined the Ontario bar in 2004. He obtained his LLB from the University of Windsor in 2003.

Other appointments

Apart from Huggett’s promotion, Info-Tech Research Group also announced the appointments of Michael Alemany as senior vice president, commercial operations and corporate strategy; Randi Amaral as executive vice president, North America field and inside engage; and Hannes Scheidegger as chief global services officer.

Info-Tech Research Group has a presence in the North American, U.K., U.S., and APAC regions. Specifically, apart from its London office, the company also has offices in Toronto, Ontario; Las Vegas, Nevada; Sydney, New South Wales; London, U.K.; and Arlington County, Virginia.
