Deliska Beauregard joins Canadian Premier as chief legal officer

Canadian Premier Life Insurance Company and Canadian Premier General Insurance Company  have appointed Deliska Beauregard as chief legal officer and corporate secretary. She joins as part of the executive leadership team, reporting to Nigel Branker, chief executive officer of Canadian Premier.

“As we continue to accelerate our business strategy, we are thrilled to welcome Deliska to our executive team to further strengthen Canadian Premier’s risk management capabilities and support strategic objectives,” said Branker. “Deliska’s exceptional insurance sector experience and deep product expertise will be key assets as we embark on a period of rapid growth and business transformation.”

Beauregard has more than 20 years of experience providing legal counsel as part of in-house teams in the insurance and financial industry sectors. In her former role of vice president and managing counsel at Chubb Insurance Company of Canada, Beauregard spearheaded the regulatory and compliance activities for group insurance offerings and creditor services. She provided critical leadership on all insurance-related regulatory matters while supporting the implementation of corporate compliance initiatives and consulting on privacy, complaint and litigation affairs.

Prior to joining Chubb, Beauregard spent seven years as senior legal counsel at Scotiabank. She also previously worked as legal counsel at AIG Life Insurance Company of Canada.

Deliska holds a civil law degree from Université de Montréal and a common law degree from the University of Windsor.
