Corporate Legal Operations Consortium introduces Voice and Brand Council

The Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) has officially announced the creation of its Voice and Brand Council (VBC) with the goal of enhancing the consortium's engagement with the legal operations community.

According to CLOC, the new initiative is part of its broader commitment to collaborative expertise and community-driven innovation in legal operations. The VBC comprises members selected from a competitive process involving more than 70 applicants, each bringing a wealth of specialized insights and strategic expertise.

The council's primary objective is to guide the evolution of CLOC’s brand and ensure its communications accurately reflect the consortium's values and respond to the dynamic needs of the legal operations sector.

Jenn McCarron, president of CLOC, will lead the VBC. “CLOC transformed legal ops from niche to necessity, carving out its place at the strategy table. With the VBC, we’re staying true to that spirit, making sure all voices and roles in our growing community are heard and have influence,” McCarron said in a statement.

Angela den Tex, CLOC’s head of marketing and communications, will collaborate closely with McCarron in this new initiative. Den Tex highlighted the council's role in broadening CLOC's outreach and engagement strategies.

“Through the VBC, we’re infusing fresh perspectives and voices into all facets of CLOC’s outreach, engaging with our community in our digital forums, through our podcast and from the CLOC Global Institute stage,” den Tex said. “Our goal is to make sure our message hits home in every format and every forum.”

The 2024-2025 Voice and Brand Council members represent a diverse cross-section of the legal operations community, drawn from various geographic locations and sectors. This diversity is intended to infuse CLOC’s branding and outreach activities with a wide range of insights and experiences.

Council members are tasked with influencing CLOC’s strategic direction, utilizing their diverse skills to enhance the consortium's branding and communication efforts. This role also allows them to elevate their leadership presence within the legal operations community.
