Caroline Zayid is the Ontario Regional Managing Partner for McCarthy Tétrault and is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group in Toronto. She previously served as National Practice Group Leader for Litigation. Her practice focuses on product liability, class actions and public law. She has led multi-jurisdictional teams on numerous cross-border class actions in relation to medical products, financial services and public sector civil liability.
Caroline has successfully represented clients at first instance and on appeal, at all levels of court in Ontario, at the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the courts of appeal in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
She has been recognized by the Women’s Executive Network as one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women and has acted on many ground-breaking class action disputes. She is currently a member of the Board of Governors of Dalhousie University.
