Attorney General Arif Virani on how he works to expedite federal judicial nominations

Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada Arif Virani has been in this role since 2023 and was first elected to parliament in 2015. Before that, he worked as a government lawyer in Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General. Virani spoke with CL Talk about his career, judicial nominations, and his legislative priorities. He explained how he works to expedite federal judicial nominations despite there being over 60 vacancies across the country.
