The Vandyk Group of Companies, real estate developers based in Ontario with properties in Mississauga, Brampton, and Etobicoke designated for residential projects, was placed in receivership on November 14, 2023. The action was initiated by KingSett Mortgage Corporation and Dorr Capital Corporation due to the companies' defaults on mortgages totaling approximately $183 million. The defaults involved allegations of diverting over $37 million intended for development, failing to pay property taxes, and missing interest payments on the five properties under development.

KSV has been appointed as the receiver to manage the resolution process. Legal representation includes Osler for the receiver, Bennett Jones for KingSett and Dorr Capital, Paliare Roland representing the Vandyk Group of Companies, and Gowlings for Otera Capital.
