Transdev Canada acquired l’atelier Les Mécaniques Lapierre Inc., a comprehensive mechanical workshop for heavy machinery vehicles in Delson, Quebec. This strategic move aims to consolidate Transdev Canada's operations by merging its Saint-Phillipe division activities with those of Les Mécaniques Lapierre Inc., enhancing its heavy machinery vehicle maintenance services. This acquisition allows Transdev Canada to extend its presence in the Montérégie region, offering specialized services in differentials, transmissions, gearboxes, and general maintenance for enterprise vehicles, commercial fleets, and municipal vehicles. Additionally, an inspection service will be introduced at its Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu location to ensure that vehicles are inspected and certified as roadworthy post-maintenance.

Émile Cadieux, Vice-President for Quebec and Maritimes Region at Transdev, expressed his delight over the acquisition, highlighting it as a significant step towards diversifying Transdev Canada's activities in Quebec and establishing its expertise in heavy vehicle maintenance. Transdev Canada, with a workforce of nearly 5000 employees across 6 provinces and 1 territory, is involved in various transportation sectors and plays a crucial role in major transit projects like the Hurontario light rail and the future Ontario Line metro in the Greater Toronto Area.
