St-Méthode Bakery partners with Swander Pace Capital, CDPQ, and Roynat

Swander Pace Capital (SPC) partnered with CDPQ and Roynat Equity Partners to acquire a majority stake in St-Méthode Bakery (BSM), a prominent supplier of healthy, fresh bread products in Québec. Based in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, BSM will continue its operations from Adstock, supplying to various markets. Tyler Matlock of SPC highlighted the partnership's alignment with their expertise in the bakery sector and the Québec market. Benoit Faucher, President of BSM, emphasized the alignment of values between the new partners and the retention of the management team and jobs, with him staying on as an advisor. Kim Thomassin of CDPQ and Catherine Parent of Roynat expressed their organizations' support for BSM's growth and the preservation of its family business culture. Financial advisory for the transaction was provided by National Bank, with Norton Rose as BSM's legal advisor. Stikeman Elliott and Blakes were the legal advisors for SPC, and CDPQ and Roynat, respectively. The transaction underscores the commitment to fostering BSM's long-term success and expansion in Canadian and U.S. markets, while maintaining its legacy and quality standards.
