Ontario Clinical Imaging Network (OCINet) announced its governance consolidation with two former clinical imaging repositories operating in the Province of Ontario, Southwestern Ontario Diagnostic Imaging Network (SWODINand Northern and Eastern Ontario Diagnostic Imaging Network (NEODIN), in 2022 and 2023 to position OCINet as the sole provider of clinical imaging repository services in Ontario.

This consolidation will allow OCINet to pursue technical integration of the three clinical imaging repositories to form a province-wide clinical imaging repository, which will streamline access to clinical imaging by clinicians across the province, improve patient care, reduce unnecessary testing and provide efficiencies in the delivery of healthcare services in Ontario.

Osler advised OCINet with a team led by Susan Newell (Health) and included Michael Watts (Health), Adam Kardash (Privacy and Data Management) Joanne Fine (Privacy and Data Management), Komil Joshi (Privacy and Data Management), Catherine Hart (Privacy and Data Management), Simon Hodgett (Technology), Alex Hodgson (Technology) and Lauren Hebert (Health).

Borden Ladner Gervais LLP advised the former operator of the SWODIN repository that transferred its assets to Ontario Clinical Imaging Network.

INQ LLP advised the former operation of the NEODIN repository that transferred its assets to the Ontario Clinical Imaging Network.
