On April 3, 2023, ODL, Inc., a leader in doorglass and insulated blinds, has expanded into the exterior door market by acquiring Tru Tech Doors, an Ontario-based manufacturer of steel and fiberglass doors. This acquisition, aligning with ODL's growth and innovation strategy, was celebrated as a significant milestone by David Klein, President and COO of ODL. It marks ODL's move to become a leading door system solutions provider.

Founded in 1998 by John Careri, Tru Tech Doors recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Careri will join ODL as Executive Vice President and President of the Door Division, leading the expansion in North America. In 2022, Tru Tech launched Harbour Craft Fiberglass Doors, targeting modern homeowners' evolving design needs. These products, along with other Tru Tech collections, will now be part of ODL's offerings.

Tru Tech's integration into ODL is seen as a strategic fit, with Careri expressing enthusiasm for joining the ODL family. ODL plans to retain all Tru Tech employees and continue operations at its Canadian manufacturing facilities. The acquisition is ODL's third in 16 months.

Fifth Third Securities was the exclusive financial advisor to ODL for this transaction. Wells Fargo provided financing, while Honigman, LLP (U.S.) and Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (Canada) offered legal counsel.
