EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare (EDIH) recently reached financial close on the South Niagara Hospital project, a 1.2 million square foot, 11-story facility that will consolidate and expand acute care services across the region.
Stikeman Elliott acted for a syndicate of lenders (National Bank of Canada, Bank of Nova Scotia, Bank of Montreal, The Korea Development Bank, Toronto-Dominion Bank) and the underwriters (National Bank Financial Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc.) in connection with a hybrid bank/bond financing for EllisDon’s DBFM of the project
The consortium was selected by Infrastructure Ontario and Niagara Health to design, build, finance, and maintain the hospital which will be located in south Niagara Falls, Ont. at the corners of Montrose and Biggar roads.
The EDIH consortium is comprised of EllisDon Capital Inc. and Plenary Americas LP (applicant leads); Parkin Architects Ltd. and Adamson Associates Architects (design team); EllisDon Corporation (construction team); and EllisDon Capital Inc. (financial adviser).
Construction teams will begin to mobilize immediately. The project is slated for completion in late 2026 or early 2027.
