On Feb. 27, 2023, Warwick Hotels and Resorts (WHR) announced its acquisition of Hotel Le Crystal, prominently located in downtown Montreal at the intersection of Rue de la Montagne and Boulevard René-Lévesque. The hotel will now operate under the name Warwick Le Crystal–Montreal. This acquisition signifies WHR's expansion into the Canadian market, adding to its extensive presence in global cities like Paris, New York, London, Geneva, Dallas, Chicago, and San Francisco. Warwick Le Crystal–Montreal boasts 131 rooms and suites, many of which are among the largest in Montreal and come equipped with kitchenettes. The hotel aligns with WHR's strategy of centralizing their establishments in hubs of commercial, cultural, and gastronomic activities. Notable amenities include an indoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, underground parking, multiple meeting rooms, and the esteemed spa, Elements Maison de Beauté. Furthermore, guests can dine at the renowned Asian restaurant, Siam, located in the lobby. Richard Chiu, President and Founder of WHR, conveyed his satisfaction with the purchase, highlighting the hotel's parallels with other Warwick establishments. Clare Chiu, Vice President of Development, further accentuated the hotel's alignment with the group's commitment to offering luxury, top-tier service, and authentic experiences to guests. The hotel is gearing up to welcome its first guests in May 2023, with additional announcements anticipated in the near future.
