Enbridge to Acquire Aitken Creek Natural Gas Storage from FortisBC Holdings Inc. for $400 million
On May 1, 2023, Enbridge Inc., a Canadian energy company, has revealed its plans to acquire FortisBC Midstream Inc.'s interest in the Aitken Creek Gas Storage and Aitken Creek North Gas Storage facilities. The deal will be carried out through a wholly-owned subsidiary of Enbridge. The acquisition will cost $400 million, subject to standard closing adjustments. Aitken Creek Storage comprises a 93.8% stake in the Aitken Creek Gas Storage facility and full ownership of the Aitken Creek North Gas Storage facility.
