Enghouse Systems Limited

On Feb. 8, 2023, Enghouse Systems Limited finalized its acquisition of Qumu Corporation. This move was rooted in a December 19, 2022 agreement in which a wholly owned subsidiary of Enghouse offered a tender for all of Qumu's outstanding shares at US$ 0.90 each, culminating in a transaction equity value of approximately US$18.0 million (CAD 24,528,960). Following the acquisition, Qumu merged into Enghouse, becoming its wholly owned subsidiary. As part of this transition, Qumu will now be incorporated into the Enghouse Interactive Management Group, aligning with the Enghouse Vidyo products. Steve Sadler, Chairman and CEO of Enghouse, remarked on the synergy between Qumu's Video Engagement Platform, which encompasses video creation, content management, and scalable delivery solutions, and Enghouse's own enterprise video offerings. Sadler is confident that this integration will cater to a more diverse set of customer requirements in their specific sectors, strengthening their stance in the enterprise video market. Echoing this sentiment, Rose Bentley, Qumu's President and CEO, sees the merger as beneficial for Qumu's existing clientele, enhancing their Video Engagement Platform. Bentley views Enghouse as a judicious and strategic buyer, anticipating a smooth incorporation of Qumu into the Enghouse ecosystem.
