Ecoener SA, renewable energy multinational, made a majority investment in a special purpose vehicle owned jointly with Lheidli T’enneh First Nation to develop the Nilhts’i Ecoener Wind Farm Project. The wind farm represents Ecoener’s first project in Canada and represents an investment of €290 million. The Project was awarded an Electricity Purchase Agreement by BC Hydro in its 2024 Call for Power competitive procurement process. Located near Hixon, BC, within the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, the Project will have an installed capacity of approximately 140 MW.

Fasken advised Ecoener with a team led by Amy Carruthers, which included Stephanie Sanger and Tara Bishop.
