On March 13, 2025, Radius Recycling, Inc. (NASDAQ: RDUS) announced it will be acquired by Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. (TAI), a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, for USD 30.00 per share in cash. The deal represents a 115% premium to Radius’ prior closing price and values the company at approximately USD 1.34 billion (CAD 1.82 billion). Radius will retain its brand, leadership, and Portland headquarters following the close, expected in the second half of 2025.
This transaction brings together two leaders in metals and automotive recycling, both committed to advancing the circular economy. Radius’ portfolio includes metals recovery, 3PR™ services, Pick-N-Pull stores, and the Cascade electric arc furnace. TTC’s industry reach and resources are expected to accelerate Radius’ growth and diversification.
