Publicis Groupe to acquire Moov AI

On March 27, 2025, Publicis Groupe announced a definitive agreement to acquire Montréal-based Moov AI, Canada’s leading AI and data solutions company. Founded in 2018, Moov AI comprises over 60 AI professionals and serves more than 100 clients nationally. The firm was recognized as Forbes’ #1 Best Startup Employer in Canada (2024) and as one of Québec’s top AI milestones by the Conseil du Patronat du Québec. Moov AI provides services such as strategic consulting, generative AI training, business intelligence, and tailored AI solutions.

This acquisition enhances Publicis Groupe’s CoreAI offering, allowing clients to scale personalization and integrate end-to-end AI-driven business transformations—from warehouse logistics to marketing and customer service. The move also strengthens Publicis’ regional presence, enabling Moov AI’s tools and expertise to extend into the U.S. market. Moov AI will operate as a dedicated practice within Publicis Groupe Canada’s integrated model alongside agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi, Starcom, and MSL. The company’s leadership will report to Publicis Canada President and CEO Duncan Bruce.

The transaction further advances Publicis Groupe’s strategic investments in AI. Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP advised Publicis Groupe with a multidisciplinary team led by Niko Veilleux and including experts in corporate, technology, tax, labour, privacy, and transactional services. Lavery advised Moov AI shareholders, with Francis Dumoulin leading, supported by Alexandre Hébert and Siddhartha Borissov-Beausoleil. The transaction value was not disclosed.
