On April 8, 2025, BCF Business Law completed the strategic acquisition of GRAVEL² AVOCATS, a Québec-based boutique law firm led by Claude Gravel. The transaction aimed to reinforce BCF’s labour and employment law capabilities and further solidify its leadership within the Québec legal market. GRAVEL², comprising nearly 10 professionals, brought recognized expertise in addressing complex labour issues, especially amid the evolving challenges of artificial intelligence integration and organizational change in the workplace.

Claude Gravel emphasized that the acquisition provided an opportunity to scale the firm’s mission within a larger platform while preserving its core values. Julie Doré, Managing Partner of BCF, noted that the move aligns with BCF’s commitment to developing practice areas and attracting expert talent to better support Québec organizations in navigating labour trends and competitive shifts.
