On April 1, 2025, BRP Inc. (TSX: DOO; NASDAQ: DOOO) entered into a definitive agreement to sell 100% of the outstanding shares of Telwater Pty Ltd. to Yamaha Motor Australia Pty Ltd., a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. The transaction marked BRP’s first step in divesting its Marine businesses to focus on its core Powersports segment, aiming to strengthen its long-term strategic position.

Telwater, based in Australia, is known for prominent marine brands including Quintrex, Stacer, and Savage. Yamaha Motor Australia, an established leader in the Australian boating industry since 1983, will take over the operations. BRP expressed appreciation for the contributions of Telwater employees and noted their continued support during the transition.

The transaction remained subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval, and was anticipated to close in the second quarter of BRP’s Fiscal 2026.

National Bank Financial Inc. acted as financial advisor, while Stikeman Elliott LLP served as legal advisor to BRP. The transaction value was not disclosed.
