In March 2025, Remsoft, a New Brunswick-based provider of forestry intelligence solutions, announced a significant strategic development that combines investment and expansion. The company secured a strategic investment from Banneker Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm with a focus on enterprise software companies. This partnership aims to accelerate Remsoft’s growth and innovation, particularly in its mission to enhance data-driven decision-making for natural resource management. With Banneker’s backing, Remsoft gains additional resources and strategic guidance to scale its operations and extend its global footprint in the forestry technology sector.

Simultaneously, Remsoft acquired Lim Geomatics, another Canadian technology firm based in Ottawa, Ontario, which specializes in advanced geospatial and operational analytics for forestry. Lim Geomatics has developed cutting-edge software solutions that complement Remsoft’s existing product suite, particularly in mobile mapping, cloud platforms, and GIS-based planning tools. The acquisition is expected to integrate Lim Geomatics’ innovations into Remsoft’s Forest Intelligence™ platform, offering clients a more comprehensive and real-time view of forestry operations.
