Cority acquires France-based Reporting 21
Cority, a global enterprise Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) software provider, acquired Reporting 21, a Paris-based sustainability SaaS platform and consultancy. Founded in 2014, Reporting 21 (previously Sirsa) offers an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) solution and advisory services, serving over 150 clients, including BlackRock and L’Oreal, in 120 countries. Mark Wallace, CEO of Cority, expressed that the acquisition enhances their sustainability and ESG offerings, while Yannick Grandjean, CEO of Reporting 21, believed the move would provide greater value by leveraging Cority’s established framework. The Reporting 21 technology will integrate into Cority's Sustainability Cloud, consolidating datasets to offer a comprehensive view of EHS and sustainability performance. Bill Pennington from Verdantix highlighted the growing demand for versatile ESG technology to cater to varied organizational needs. Post-acquisition, Cority, primarily owned by software investment firm Thoma Bravo, will boast over 500 employees and cater to 1,400 global customers. The legal advisors for Cority and Thoma Bravo were Kirkland & Ellis, with Harris Williams as the financial advisor. Reporting 21's legal consultation was provided by McDermott Will & Emery, Frieh Associés, and Keels Avocats. Financial advisement came from Clipperton and Natixis Partners, while Alvarez and Marsal conducted financial vendor audits.
