On January 15, 2025, Uvaro acquired Lighthouse Labs, a tech education leader, to enhance its position as one of Canada’s largest workforce development organizations. The transaction aimed to address workforce challenges by integrating Uvaro’s Career Success framework with Lighthouse Labs’ technical training expertise. The acquisition aligned with national initiatives, such as AI-focused workforce development programs, and reinforced Uvaro’s commitment to equipping Canadians with digital skills.

Lighthouse Labs, known for its intensive hands-on training and 80% job placement rate, has been a key player in Canada’s tech sector for over a decade. This acquisition expanded Uvaro’s offerings, enabling it to serve a broader range of professionals, including underrepresented groups and mature workers adapting to AI-driven advancements.

Financial advisor Tyton Partners supported Lighthouse Labs, with McCarthy Tétrault acting as its legal counsel. Uvaro was represented by Gowling WLG.
