Goose Harbour Lake Wind Farm secures $450 million financing

The 168 MW Goose Harbour Lake Wind Farm in Nova Scotia secured $450 million in financing, with completion expected by late 2026. Canada Infrastructure Bank provided $224 million, while Stonebridge Financial arranged the remaining debt financing with iA Financial Group and Stonebridge Infrastructure Debt Fund II LP.

The project, owned by Port Hawkesbury Paper and Wskijinu'k Mtmo'taqnuow Agency Ltd. (representing the Mi’kmaq of Nova Scotia), will be the province’s largest wind farm. This marks Stonebridge’s third Atlantic Canada wind financing in 2024 and contributes to its $959 million in Indigenous financings across 26 projects.

McCarthy Tétrault advised Stonebridge and iA Financial Group.
