On June 13, 2024, Alectra Inc. announced and closed its C$200 million private placement of 4.627% Series 2024-1 Senior Unsecured Debentures, maturing June 13, 2034. The debentures were issued under the accredited investor exemption and offered in all Canadian provinces. The syndicate of agents was co-led by RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc., with participation from BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., TD Securities Inc., and National Bank Financial Inc. Total commissions paid to the agents amounted to C$800,000.

Gowling WLG advised the agents, while Stikeman Elliott LLP acted as legal counsel for Alectra.

The company, Canada’s largest municipally-owned electric utility, serves over one million customers in Ontario’s Greater Golden Horseshoe.
