On August 3, 2022, Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. has announced its acquisition of Results International Group LLP, a UK-based advisory firm specializing in technology and healthcare sectors. Results, known for providing M&A and corporate finance services, has completed over 60 strategic advisory transactions in the last three years. The transaction, which is expected to close within the current fiscal quarter, is in line with Canaccord's strategy to bolster its global Advisory business, following the footsteps of its previous acquisitions of Petsky Prunier and Sawaya Partners in the US. Dan Daviau, President & CEO of Canaccord Genuity Group, emphasized the acquisition's role in enhancing the company's position as a prominent midmarket advisory firm and contributing to its profitability. Nick Russell, CEO of Canaccord Genuity Limited, lauded Results for its strength in the Technology and Healthcare sectors and predicted a significant enhancement to Canaccord's European advisory business through this merger. Julie Langley, Managing Partner of Results, is set to become the Head of Technology and Healthcare Advisory for Canaccord Genuity UK & Europe, with all Results employees expected to continue under the new arrangement. The financial adviser for Results is Hines Associates, and Squire Patton Boggs is providing legal counsel. Canaccord Genuity is receiving legal advice from Shearman and Sterling.
