CINA Radio Group founder and CEO Neeti P. Ray made a bid to acquire three AM radio stations from BCE Inc.. The bid is part of BCE's restructuring plan that also involved shutting down six other AM stations and laying off approximately 1,300 employees, representing about 3 percent of BCE's workforce.

The sale of these stations was approved by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) on June 26, 2024.
