On August 22, 2023, Exponent Private Equity announced the sale of a minority stake in Meadow, a UK-based leader in sustainable dairy, confectionery, and plant-based ingredients, to Fairfax Financial Holdings, a Canadian holding company. The transaction closed on the same date. Meadow, employing over 500 staff across five UK sites, expanded significantly under Exponent’s ownership since 2018, entering the plant-based market and completing strategic acquisitions.
