Coach USA announced on June 11, 2024, that it entered a sale agreement with Bus Company Holdings US, LLC (BCH US), an affiliate of The Renco Group, Inc. The transaction closed on November 1, 2024, transferring major bus lines, including Megabus (U.S. and Canada), Rockland, Shortline, and Van Galder, along with Megabus intellectual property and retail operations, to BCH US.

Additionally, affiliates of AVALON Transportation acquired the Lenzner, Kerrville, All West, and ACL Atlanta lines, while Wynne Transportation affiliates purchased the Powder River operation and Butler Motor Transit’s body shop.

The deal was supported by Alston & Bird LLP as legal counsel, Houlihan Lokey, Inc. as financial advisor, CR3 Partners, LLC as restructuring advisor, and Spencer M. Ware as Chief Restructuring Officer. Stikeman Elliott served as counsel to Bus Company Holdings US.

Coach USA continues operations uninterrupted, focusing on fleet modernization and service enhancements with strategic backing from The Renco Group. Transaction value was not disclosed.
