On July 8, 2024, DNA Partners L.P., a growth-focused private equity firm based in Montreal, acquired SIC Biometrics, a Quebec-based leader in mobile biometric solutions.

The financial terms of the transaction have not been publicly disclosed.

Founded in 1999, SIC Biometrics specializes in designing, manufacturing, and deploying multimodal mobile biometric systems, including fingerprint, facial recognition, and iris scanning technologies. Their solutions are utilized by various law enforcement agencies, such as the FBI, U.S. Marshals, U.S. Postal Service, border agents, and police forces worldwide, primarily for field identification purposes.

Eric Talbot, the founder and CEO of SIC Biometrics, will continue to lead the company during a three-year transition period, remaining a shareholder and CEO.
