Renaud-Bray, a major Canadian cultural and book retail group, has acquired DeSerres, a well-known art supplies retailer with 28 stores across Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia.

This acquisition includes DeSerres' additional assets, such as Cadres Verbec, specializing in framing supplies, and Lamarche Importation, a stationery distributor.

The financial terms were not disclosed.

Miller Thomson represented the shareholders of the DeSerres group of companies with a team that includes Andrew Cohen, Josyane Ledoux and Karel Mahy-Rousseau, assisted by Andrew Etcovitch, Luc-Antoine Manneh, Shane Goldman, Emily Cruz-Isgro, Guillaume Conraud-Arès, Sylvie Marchand, Martine Bourget and Alexandre Benoît.
