Topaz Energy Corp. completed a public offering of 7 million common shares at $25.05 each, raising $175.35 million. The proceeds will partially fund Topaz's acquisition of royalty interests in 3 million acres from Tourmaline Oil Corp., covering areas in NEBC Montney, Alberta Deep Basin, and Peace River High. This acquisition, valued at $278.2 million, enhances Topaz’s portfolio by adding diverse and high-quality assets. The offering is led by Peters & Co. Limited and National Bank Financial Inc., with several financial institutions participating as underwriters, including BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., TD Securities Inc., ATB Securities Inc., Canaccord Genuity Corp., Desjardins Securities Inc., Raymond James Ltd., and Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Securities – Canada, ULC. Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP acted as legal counsel for Topaz, while Torys LLP advised the underwriters. An additional 1,050,000 shares may be issued if the over-allotment option is fully exercised, which would increase the total proceeds to over $201 million.
