On June 23, 2022, Audax Private Equity ("Audax") revealed its plans to make a strategic growth investment in BlueCat Networks ("BlueCat"), a prominent provider of mission-critical, infrastructure software. Although the financial terms were not disclosed, the transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2022, subject to certain conditions, including the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act waiting period. Once finalized, Audax will hold a controlling stake in BlueCat, with MDP exiting its investment in the company. Founded in 2001, BlueCat offers vital software solutions for network control, automation, and security. Its Adaptive DNS™ platform assists major global enterprises in their digital transformation efforts. Stephen Devito, BlueCat's CEO, highlighted that the partnership with Audax marks a significant step in the company's growth journey. Iveshu Bhatia and Timothy Mack from Audax praised BlueCat's potential for both organic and inorganic growth, emphasizing the company's capability to address growing network complexities. Doug Grissom of MDP expressed confidence in BlueCat's future with Audax.
