Rogers acquires BAI Communications Canadian operations

On April 12, 2023, Rogers Communications Inc. completed the previously announced acquisition of the Canadian operations of BAI Communications, consisting primarily of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) cellular and Wi-Fi networks, as part of the plans to build out a 5G network throughout the entire subway system. 

BAI Communications is a world leader in shared communications infrastructure. BAI has been a long-standing partner of the TTC to deliver connectivity to the Toronto subway and following the closing of the transaction, it will continue to service transit systems around the world with state-of-the-art networks in major cities like New York, London and Hong Kong.
