Qualifacts acquires OnCall Health to enhance behavioral health telehealth solutions

On November 1, 2022, Qualifacts, a leading U.S.-based provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms for behavioral health and human services, announced the acquisition of Toronto-based OnCall Health, a telehealth and patient engagement technology provider. The acquisition allows Qualifacts to expand its Canadian footprint, integrating OnCall's virtual care solutions into its existing offerings for both U.S. and Canadian behavioral health organizations.

Qualifacts, with over 2,500 clients in the U.S., aims to simplify complex workflows and enhance client engagement. By acquiring OnCall, Qualifacts strengthens its ability to offer advanced telehealth and patient portal features. This move aligns with the growing demand for virtual-first healthcare solutions, especially in Canada, where OnCall has hosted over a million virtual healthcare consultations.

Legal advisors for Qualifacts included Stikeman Elliott LLP and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, while Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP represented OnCall Health. The transaction value was not disclosed.
